Meet Scott Christensen.
Scott Christensen began painting with oils on stretched canvas in 1997 at the age of 26. Four years later, Scott resigned from his position leading a horizontal drilling gang to study Visual Art full-time. Scott’s wife had just given birth to their first children - twins. As Scott recalls, ‘failure was not an option’.
Since then, he has sold over 350 originals and over 4500 Canvas Editions. Scott united his ability to create with his love of the Australian coastline, and has never looked back.
He represents these ever-changing environments with vibrant colour, sharp composition, and attention to every detail. His work has been described as ‘stylish, photo-realism’, ‘unique, and very Australian’. Scott Christensen paints full-time from his Studio/ Gallery in Cleveland, in the Redland Shire of Queensland.
"Scott Christensen comes with my highest recommendation, not only as an outstanding artist and a leader in his field, but also as a complete professional in every sense of the word. So impressed was I with Scott’s work that I commissioned him to do all of the artwork for our new LINQ Precinct and Administration Building at Sheldon College. From there we engaged Scott to teach the students through our professional incursion program and through our Australian School of the Arts program. His artistic work has greatly enhanced our new state-of-the-art facilities, and is always a source of animated discussion as to its alluring beauty and pure aesthetics."
